In Tanki Online, there are quite a few weapons the players can use. They are rather varied, and all need different styles of gameplay. View here or look below for the stats of the weapons as well as tanks and paints. Please also click on the links to get further information about the weapons.

Also unlocked at Recruit is Firebird. This weapon has very limited range and limited consumption, yet has lots of damage per second compared to smoky. It shoots out a steady stream of fire. View here for guide.
At Recruit the last weapon unlocked is Twins This weapon is extremely popular at lower ranks and if you do not use it up till Staff Sergeant often you will get crowded out by teams of Twins firing at you from all sides. It has unlimited consumption and lots of shots per second, although damage is low. However, twins has another advantage in that it can knock off other players of balance including flipping them upside down in the worst case. It does not particularly need either speed or life and is a medium-style weapon, although it does not have very good range.
At Private the weapon unlocked is [[Railgun]]. This very popular weapon is a long turret firing out a projectile at hypersonic speeds: the beam changes colours as it is upgraded. It does a lot of damage per shot although the reload time is very long: it also charges up before taking a shot. Skilled smoky, thunder, ricochet and twins players can knock the railgun of balance while it is charging and force it to miss as a result: however, this is not as easy as it sounds. Railgun is very popular because it is strong yet doesn't break the bank at higher ranks. It is best for sniping, although going into the field with it isn't bad either.
The four weapons above are the base weapons that all newbies use. Railgun is the most expensive, and requires the highest rank to get upgraded, while Smoky is the lowest of those. Choose a gun that suits your gameplay best.
At Sergeant the weapon unlocked is [[Isida]]. This "tier 1.5" weapon has very limited range and while the damage rate per second is high, it has a very high energy consumption, yet does not cost too much and has the added abilities to heal team-mates' health and heal the user while attacking enemies. It is best used for only healing until m2, as the high energy consumption makes it an ineffective weapon up until that point. It is best used on a fast chassis like Hornet so it can get to team-mates faster to heal.
At Gefreiter, the weapon unlocked is Thunder. This is the first of the Second-tier weapons—all tier 2 weapons are equal. Thunder is a Smoky-style weapon, except it has splash damage, limited range (though still a large range), and way more damage. M0 has slow reload so is rather unpopular, but m3 is a very strong weapon to use. However, splash damage can count against the user because it damages yourself as you shoot in tight spaces. It is best mounted on a medium-speed-medium-health tank like Viking.
At Corporal, the second of the Tier 2 weapons, Freeze, is unlocked. It is a Firebird-style weapon, with very limited range and limited consumption, but on top of the Firebird effects it has longer consumption, a bit more damage, and the ability to Freeze enemies when attacking them. It is a deadly weapon when you get up close to someone, especially at m3. Thus, having a faster armour like Hornet is best.
The third of the Second Tier Weapons unlocked at Sergeant is Ricochet, a Twins-style plasma weapon but it has slightly more range, more damage, limited consumption, and the ability to bounce of walls before hitting an enemy tank. It is a versatile weapon, very useful, and quite a popular choice at higher ranks. Having m3 Ricochet gives you a lot of respect!
The last tier 2 weapon is Shaft.It's unlocked at rank Master Corporal. It is similar to Railgun in that it is a high damaging sniper weapon with a slow recharge rate. However, Shaft has an extra scope feature that allows a more accurate hit and farther range than Railgun. As you hold down spacebar the Shaft increases its charge, two fully charged hits can take down a Mammoth easily. Shaft is the most expensive of all guns in Tanki and has highest rank requirements. It was introduced in late 2011.
