Paints

Paints are the texture and colors given to the hull and turret of a tank. Paints can be bought and equipped from the Garage, each with its own look and characteristics. Most paints provide protection against certain hulls.

When creating a new player, the tanker is given two paints: Green as default, and Holiday as an additional color. At the rank of Recruit, 5 basic paints are available in the garage- none with protection. As the player ranks up, more paints will be avaialble to buy. with protection properties. In most cases, the higher the price of a paint is, the better protection it provides.

Paint types

There are four key types of paints, where each type includes paints with the same overall characteristics:

• Ordinary paints- the most basic paints, which are available to everyone, and provide no protection at all. Two of them are avaialble by simply creating an account, and the others are available to players at all ranks. They are mainly decorational, and are mostly used as camouflage.
• Protective paints- paints which provide protection. These paints can protect against 1 to 4 different turrets- dep
• Temporary paints- paints that become available before or during some events (e.g. Clans' paints before the finals of the StarSeries contest; Developers/Players paints before the Rusty Barrles contest). Usually, they eventually disappear from the inventories of those who have bought them.
• Exclusive paints- special paints which cannot be obtained by ordinary players. Paints such as this can be obtained, for instance, by working as a Developer or a Forum Moderator in Tanki, or by winning an annual contest. These tanks are removed from a player's inventory if they no longer fulfill the criteria for obtaining the paint (e.g. resigning from a Tanki office, or not winning the next contest which rewards the same award).

Football World Cup
Germany	?	100	This is a fans paint. Follow the Football World Cup. If the team you have chosen wins, we will refund you 50% of all crystals you have spent between June 13 and July 12. Second place gets 30% fund, and third gets 20%.	32 country paints, each for one of the teams in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, were available before the real-life event took place. Players who'd bought the winning teams' paints eventually received a refund on their purchases during the event. The winning teams were Germany, Argentina and the Netherlands

Star	The Star paint was designed specifically for the winners of “Star Battle” tournament which is held among players of German community. A player using this paint will not only stand out from the crowd but will also turn into a serious opponent on the battlefield thanks to special protective elements. Lucky 7	An extremely rare paint. The only way to get it is to win the Lucky 7 tournament. It gives your tank a 15% protection against all types of weapons. Veteran	This paint is issued only to legendary and award-winning players, who get it after years of training and numerous victories. Dark gold color symbolizes wisdom and proficiency while the texture, similar to the Champion paint, makes it clear that the the owner isn't just a fighter, but a winner.
